Video here of Caspian Stonechats, digiscoped in Batumi Harbour in early October 2014. Has been interesting to see these birds, study the photos and video. The male birds showed much white in the tail, more than 50% of the tail feathers and would lead me to suspect most are of the northern race hemprichii? Southern Caspian Stonechat, referred to as race variegata typically shows less white in the tail. Still a lot to learn about these birds and their taxonomy...
