Villa 3-3 West Brom HT: Who said derby games were tense and cagey? The first-half at Villa Park was nothing short of sensational. As with the clash at The Hawthorns back in November, the Baggies surged into an early 2-0 lead. Chris Brunt controlled and then rifled home an unstoppable 30-yard effort before Fabian Delph turned a James Morrison cross into his own net. But Villa soon turned the tables on their neighbours. Andreas Weimann beat the offside trap and lobbed Ben Foster to make it 2-1 on 12 minutes. Then in the 24th minute, Leandro Bacuna somehow scooped home Matt Lowtons cross from close range. There was no end to the drama there, though. With seven minutes to play in the half, Delph made amends for his early slip with a left-foot rocket into the top corner to give Villa the edge. Youssouf Mulumbu levelled things up just before the break after latching on to Morrisons through ball.
