“Village to Raise a Child” is a program established by the Harvard Social Innovation Collaborative (SIC) that identifies and nurtures five young entrepreneurs from around the world. These five students—called “Global Trailblazers”—are invited to come to Harvard to attend and present their ideas at the annual Harvard Igniting Innovation Summit, giving them the tools, skills and resources they need to execute their community-based projects. Applicants were required to submit videos to be eligible for the program. They have two weeks to get people to vote for their entry on this page. The five videos with the most number of votes will earn automatic spots as finalists. The deadline to vote for videos is on September 10. There will be fifteen finalists in total, five selected by the public through voting and the rest selected by the board of judges based on the quality of the students’ applications. All these finalists will be invited to a Skype interview, after which five Global Trailblazers will be chosen. For more information, please visit ignitinginnovationsummit/program/
