Villagers who had been protesting against a poultry farm in Tumkur intensified their protest today by vandalizing the farm. Villagers have been protesting against the increasing mosquito menace due to the poultry farm, but their pleas have fallen on deaf ears. Making matters worse is the fact that the 15 acre farm is owned by Tumkur MLA Suresh Gowda. Villagers allege that the MLA has been using his clout to flout norms and the residents are suffering due to that.
