Vince Smallwood December 13, 2014 Troop 209, After careful consideration over the past several months I want to make you aware of my decision to resign as the Scoutmaster of Troop 209. The decision to step down was not lightly made, having been in the forefront of creating the Troop and seeing it grow through many changes over the years. I have strong feelings about this Troop as a founding member and want to see it continue to be successful. The decision to resign is based on the needs of the Troop, time constraints of my personal career, and demands of personal life. It is my belief this is the right decision for Troop 209 and myself. I feel at this time I am unable to provide the quality of service the Troop requires to continue being successful and grow. I am confident in the leadership within the Troop to continue the growth started. I know the leadership will continue to work to provide a strong program and continue to develop the Scouts of Troop 209. I would like to make the official date of resignation January 15, 2015. I am confident a suitable replacement will be found prior to this date and will be supportive of a transition of responsibilities. I look forward to the witnessing the continued success of the Troop and can be counted on when called upon to support the activities of Troop 209. Sincerely, Vince Smallwood
