Virtually on a daily basis, we take in more dogs and cats then we can adopt out. We utilize sending many of these to rescue whenever we can, but to further help we are implementing a new fostering program for dogs and cats. Since our ‘cute cuddling babies’ seem to get adopted first, these are not the ones that we need help with. Our need can be pretty much summarized in 3 basic groups. 1) Temporary home for dogs that are going to rescue soon. 2) Dogs that need some one-on-one with people. 3) Cats with kittens or kittens needing a substitute mommy. If anyone is interested in learning about the program, the information/application is downloadable from our website nemohumanesoc.org. Two volunteers will primarily be overseeing the application process and helping with finding good fosters for our babies.
