Visited Christchurch over the weekend. Performed my final show on Friday and as I finished my first act for the night and exited the stage I went tumbling down the stairs with a mighty THUD! BANG! Thank you to the lovely ladies who came to my rescue with ice and comforting words. In true performer spirit I got up and performed about 45 minutes later. Over the next 24 hours I found more and more bruises down my left side. Shoulder, forearm, butt, hip, knee grazed and bleeding, bruises all over my left leg. My long-suffering friend had to spend the weekend listening to me whinge every time I moved. But hey, he broke a tooth so were even (no I was not the cause!) Glad I got to visit Christchurch and catch some local talent and to see the lovely Sina King from Australia. What a talented and gorgeous performer!
