Visited Moms oncologist today. He had to change the plan a little since there was more to her cancer than first thought. She will be starting her treatments on the 26th of this month. Shell be on 2 different chemo meds. Shell go once a week for the first med and then theyll add the 2nd one once every 3 weeks. Theyll do this for 3 cycles and then do another CT at that point to decide whether they need to do more surgery or just continue chemo. The second chemo med she will be taking is going to cause her blood count to drop considerably therefore she will have to have a blood transfusion at that point. All total she will undergo 19 weeks of treatments. Your prayers and support will as always be greatly appreciated!!
