Visited with my grandfather this evening. I asked if he thought he needed lotion, he said yes if you dont mind. Im feeling dry and I replied...of course I dont mind. I am beginning to rub his arms with lotion, beginning to move to the next and he says...Shellie, they could use you down here. You have a nice smile, warm heart and youre good at this. I smiled and said, youre my papa...others might not think all that. He said, well I know so and I love you for it. Its just the little things that mean so much. When I was finished, he thanked me and said I hope someday someone loves you enough to return the favor. I said, yes me too. I love my grandfather!!! Truly, people just want to know you care, taking time for others is so important and although I wouldnt just lotion anyone lol...Im thankful for the sweet moments I have with my grandfather.
