Visiting the U.K. While on holiday in the UK there is in most - TopicsExpress

Visiting the U.K. While on holiday in the UK there is in most towns a branch of the national Tourist Board. All give free and impartial advice on places to stay & visit. All B & Bs they list are checked out and have to meet a high standard. They are happy to help with directions and have free leaflets on local attractions within their local area. They are normally up to date with local train or bus schedules & are happy to help planning an itinerary. They normally have a few items for sale suitable for holiday mementoes from books on the local area or history to mugs and pencils reflecting the same. If you are trying to find the local office look for a brown square with an exclamation mark in white. When driving keep an eye open as most attractions from stately homes, wildlife parks, castles to zoos are advertised by national brown road signs rather than the normal black, red & white. discoverireland.ie/ visitengland/ee/ visitscotland/ visitwales/
