Vitruvius FabLab ISCTE-IUL consists in a multidisciplinary sharing place of knowledge, fabrication and innovation created in 2012 in ISCTE-IUL. The main goalis the exploratory development of innovative methods for creative and participative design and fabrication. With this laboratory is intended to develop automated techniques for the production of architecture models, explore modular building systems, innovative material usages, interventions in the field of product design and graphic computing. VFABLAB-IUL does not only serve internal research, but also to enhance partnerships with international universities, with the industry and with local communities. This laboratory serves as a support to different kind of research projects, such as architecture, computing, arts, design, media and multimedia researchers. The digital fabrication laboratory supports innovation through the materialization of ideas of the community, creators and industry.
