Viviana Re is our #MSCA fellow of the week. She works on the Bir Al-Nas Project (MSCA IOF 2012) at the National School of Engineering of Sfax, Tunisia, where she will stay for the first two years; in the third year she will conclude her training at Ca Foscari University of Venice . Her overall objective is to develop a replicable example of integrated approach for science-based groundwater management practices, which is currently tested in the aquifer system of Grombalia (Tunisia). In Arabic Bir Al-Nas means the “well of people” and emphasizes the effective inclusion of the social dimension into hydrogeological investigations. The focus of the project is also on gender sensitive water monitoring, assessment and reporting, and Viviana is one of the members of the working group UNESCO - World Water Assessment Programme (WWAP).
