Voting is the fundamental right of every American citizen. Governor Walker’s 2011 voter ID law makes it harder for eligible Wisconsinites to cast their ballots. And the worst part? Thanks to a recent court ruling, this law could take effect before Election Day in November. Walker and his cronies have shown time and again that they don’t care about what’s best for Wisconsinites. All they care about is their own anti-middle class agenda. And they’re willing to restrict Wisconsinites’ access to the polls to get their way. Governor Walker’s voter ID law is just a ruse masquerading as a solution to a pretend problem. During a separate appeal, a judge ruled that “virtually no voter impersonation occurs in Wisconsin.” The judge stated further that Walker’s law could be used to disenfranchise minority voters. But now -- 45 days before Election Day -- this discriminatory practice could become the law of the land in Wisconsin. Let Walker know that restricting access to the polls is wrong.
