Vrischika Sankranti Vrischika Sankranti is the day when Sun transits to Vrischika rashi (Scorpio). Vrischika Sankranti marks the beginning of the Eighth month in the hindu Solar Calendar. Actually Sankranti is considered good for Dana and Punya Activites. Surya Bhagwan is worshipped on this day. Reading Aditya Hrudayam, Suryashtakam are considered highly auspicious on this day. It is observed on 16th November 2014 (Sunday).
