Vulnerability-taking the risk to let others see who you - TopicsExpress

Vulnerability-taking the risk to let others see who you are-mistakes, desires, fears, dreams, struggles...but mostly exposing the raw parts of your soul. Its scary, heart pounding in the chest, battle of your mind & spirit struggle-you know once the words are spoken, they cant be retrieved. Its when you bring what you hid in the dark into the light-the words that bound you...are now the same words that set you free! What kept you in the dark with threats of what if can no longer hold you back. What you keep in the dark... keeps you in darkness-it must be brought in the light to lose its power. Its any type of shame, regret or embarrassment; the enemy wants you to believe you will lose credibility if youre vulnerable. Hes a liar because you actually gain respect when youre real about struggles-people connect with struggles, not perfection. There might be some who cant handle your story, but thats their problem, not yours. Others who see all of you choose to love & accept all of you just like Christ. If you only present what you believe will be accepted by others, you remain a prisoner of your own pain-a captive of your own darkness. God says where the Spirit of the Lord is...there is freedom! If youre saved-youre free. God has accepted & approved every part of you & He will bring to completion the good work He started in you until the day Jesus Christ returns. See yourself as God sees you, His arms are wide open & waiting to love you into His likeness, to encourage & soothe you with His love- giving you a hope & a future! Renew your mind with His promises...His truth stomps out the lies of the enemy. Gods love doesnt increase or decrease according to your obedience, He doesnt get angry & take His love back, nor does He grow tired of you...no, no, no! He loves all of you all of the time, until...for all of forever-because His Spirit has sealed you! Be vulnerable, take a risk & let others know you because God has approved you. Its His love that will catapult you over the things that you use to hold you back. His approval gives you the guts to be you-His masterpiece ...will you let God fulfill His purpose through you?
