WAITING FOR THE WATERS TO SUBSIDE He waited seven more days and sent the dove out again, but this time it did not return to him. Genesis 8:12, NIV After the downpour, Noah and his family remained in the ark waiting for the waters to subside. For days, nothing happened until the Lord remembered. Then He sent a wind to blow over the waters and cause them to recede. So many times in our lives, we have had to wait for the fulfilment of God’s promises. Severally, we waited and trusted God for a trying time or circumstance to end. Noah’s strength in waiting stemmed from the fact that the LORD had brought the rain and had promised to save him and his family. The lesson in Noah’s waiting is that while they waited for the waters to subside, the ark rested on the mountains of Ararat. This indicates that during our period of waiting, God raises us up, and opens our eyes to behold the many blessings He is bringing to us. He will put your feet on a solid rock as you wait on Him in Jesus’ name. Your testimony is near.
