WANTED: Qualified Gap Standers! “I looked for someone among them who would build up the wall and stand before me in the gap on behalf of the land so I would not have to destroy it, but I FOUND NO ONE. Did you hear that, "I found no one" not even one person in all of those believers, are you kidding me? So what qualifies one to be a qualified gap stander, and how does one go from a life which is centered on their own "self preservation" to where their One and only passion is IN the "losing to gain" Life, the Life where they no longer take a thought for their own life, and where they NOW see their only purpose is as His own chosen vessel, branch, or temple of His Life for others? Well the following might provide a clue: Praise our God, ALL PEOPLES, let the sound of His praise be heard; He has preserved our lives and kept our feet from slipping. For YOU, God, tested us; YOU refined us like silver. YOU brought us into prison and laid burdens on our backs. YOU let people ride over our heads; we went through fire and water, but YOU brought us to a place of abundance. Psalm 66:8-12 This is also probably another important piece to the puzzle: But whatever were gains to me I NOW CONSIDER LOSS for the sake of Christ. What is more, I consider EVERYTHING AS LOSS because of the surpassing worth of KNOWING Christ Jesus my Lord, for whose sake I have LOST ALL THINGS. I consider them garbage, that I MAY GAIN CHRIST and be found IN Him, not having a righteousness of my own that comes from the law, but that which is through Faith IN Christ—the righteousness that comes from God on the basis of (His own) Faith. I want to KNOW CHRIST (revelation, not just more worthless information about Him) —yes, to know the POWER of His resurrection and the fellowship of His sufferings, becoming like Him IN His death, and so, somehow, attaining to the resurrection from the dead. Philippians 3:7-11 So...still interested in the position? Because as I understand it there is still One opening available just waiting to be filled!
