WANTED URGENTLY Impact Evaluation Field Coordinator for the Nigeria Erosion and Watershed Management Project (NEWMAP) The Field Coordinator will work on research design, implementation, and analysis for the impact evaluation (IE) of the Nigeria Erosion and Watershed Management Project. This IE will be implemented by the Africa Region Sustainable Development – Environment unit (AFTN1) and the Development Impact Evaluation Initiative (DIME), in close collaboration with the Federal and State-level Project Implementation Units (PIUs) in Nigeria. As part of this assignment, the Field Coordinator will support in-country capacity development for the PIU teams. The Field Coordinator will be hired as a short term consultant (STC) for 70 days total during the period September 2013-December 2013 and will be based in Nigeria, either in Abuja or in one of the initial IE states (Cross River, Anambra, or Imo). This period could be extended based on positive performance of the consultant. The Field Coordinator’s main responsibilities will be to support (i) the detailed impact evaluation design, (ii) the preparation, implementation, and analysis of the baseline survey, (ii) capacity development for the client team, (iii) reporting on IE-related activities, and (iv) NEWMAP implementation support related to the IE.
