WARNING: Accountability required. Christian: exhibiting a spirit proper to a follower of Jesus Christ; Christlike (dictionary) Brothers and sisters, is this your spirit? Does you speech, attitude and actions reflect Christ? How about your entertainment and hobbies? Consider this; would you give your pastor tickets to a Slayer concert? Or his wife a copy of 50 shades of grey? Why should it be any different for you? We cannot grow in our faith and walk without devoting ourselves to developing a Christ-like life. To be in the world never means to compromise our walk with God. We shouldnt put ourselves in positions or places that call our Christian character into question or tempt us to sin. Christian, quit confusing the lost by weaving in and out of Christianity. There is no part of your life that isnt subject to Gods dominion. Do not be a Christian atheist; believing in God but living as if He doesnt exist. Consider these words from the apostle Peter: For this very reason, make every effort to supplement your faith with virtue, and virtue with knowledge, and knowledge with self-control, and self-control with steadfastness, and steadfastness with godliness, and godliness with brotherly affection, and brotherly affection with love. For if these qualities are yours and are increasing, they keep you from being ineffective or unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. 2Pet. 1:5-8
