**WARNING** Below you will find a woeful attempt at Mad Mama Humour - I would like to say I apologise to those who dont find it funny or are offended - but Nahhhh I am way to tired to care ;-P Oh WOW what a day! I am so ready for bed!! 2.5 hrs for the Cubs and I to clean and sort Dwights book case, toy box, shoes and under his bed. 1.75 hrs to do Aliyahs book case, under her bed and behind her chair, and then 1 hr 9 minutes to do Alissas room. Seriously - how do such small beings attract such gigantic amounts of crap!? Then vac their rooms, the lounge and kitchen - because there now seems to be a trail of glitter and sand (I think) throughout the house. Feed the cubs (why do they need to eat so many times in a day??), do the dishes and tidy the kitchen (oh three loads of washing in there as well). After lunch we went to get swimming goggles and a quick nip to the supermarket. Quick pffffft when does anything happen quickly when the childern are in tow?? I saw another couple of Mamas at The Warehouse who had this look of utter frustration mixed with bewilderment on their faces - I am 110% sure I also had the very same look! Nachos & Tacos for dinner - sweet we know this will be a success because they asked for it - right??!! Oh and my quick trip did take in excess of three hours to buy a total of 9 things across 2 shops. While the mince was cooking, I decide to whip up a quadrupled mix of choc chip cookies (why!? I hear you say - ummmm - cause??). Cook a dozen and make the rest of the dough up in to logs wrapped in baking paper and throw in the fridge. Go to serve up dinner, Get the mince, tacos, toppings & fillings all on Alissas plate and Aliyah bumps goodness knows what, and suddenly the floor and I are now wearing Alissas dinner. Did I explode?! No!!!!!! (One point for Mama - kinda) I went in to the uber calm Mummy zone everyone is directed to leave the kitchen go and sit down and not say anything - a n y t h i n g! While I clean it all up, then re-serve dinner. Once the Cubs were eating, I grab a nice cold drink....of juice. Tell them unless someone is bleeding or about to die they are to leave me alone for 5 minutes while I go sit on the front porch and catch my breath. Thankfully they managed that. I went and had my shower while they finished their dinner and rinsed the earlier serving of dinner off my clothes. Got them all in to bed by 6:45pm, both girls crashed before 7pm, Dwight is presently pushing his luck, and really - tonight is not a good night to do that *sigh*. Early start tomorrow for School Mass and Flag Ceremony, we need to be out of the house by 8am on off up to Church. Thankfully I got their uniforms all washed today ready for that and they are all nicely laid out ready for them to put on. They are under strict instruction though - Breakfast, brush teeth, extra good face wash, Then they are allowed to put their uniforms on. Still think I have maybe a 2 out of 10 chance their uniforms will be clean by the time we arrive at Chruch. Went through and made sure all their uniform bits were named and named 5 pairs of underwear each along with their togs etc ready for swimming starting on Monday - every day for the next two weeks :-S Think of all those chlorine soaked towels I get to wash for the fortnight - I am dancing in glee at the thought of it. My Darling Woodsman and I have now had dinner and the dishes await (cant remember if I am up to the fourth or fifth round for the day). I have yarn and a hook calling my name out, but I am sure I can hear my bed already calling me soooo loudly - I fear this is most definately a not tonight Honey kinda night (Sorry!) There ends a partial re-telling of a day in the life of this Mama of 3 Little Cubs
