WARNING mum brag ahead! Pretty darn proud of my gorgeous girl - today they received their results in the UNSW annual English exam and Alice got another distinction (proving last years wasnt a fluke ;-)). Last year she was in the top 5% of all those who sat the exam (and it tends to be only the bright students who do) and this year she was top 3%! She now says she wants to crack top 1% next time and get a High Distinction. According to Alice, there were only two in her year who received distinctions this year (congratulations Sarah Skehan-Ryba on Alexs result). And this from a child who doesnt even do her basic homework most weeks, let alone doing any extension work after school :-p Between yesterdays great audition and this result today, its been a pretty fine week for Miss Alice. And tomorrow shes off on her first ever school camp - what a way to end the term!
