WATCH AND ACT - Issued For: Roses Gap, Heathvale, Laharum, Zumsteins, Wartook Fire Origin: 11 KM SOUTH WEST OF DADSWELLS Incident Name: GRAMPIANS - POHLNERS ROAD WEST Issued: 16/01/14 10:43 AM This is a Watch and Act message issued by Department of Environment and Primary Industries for Roses Gap, Heathvale, Laharum, Zumsteins, Wartook. There are two bushfires of concern travelling in a southerly direction in rocky escarpment country in the northern end of the Grampians National Park. These fires originate from near Pohlners Road. This bushfire is currently not yet under control. The fire could impact Wartook and Laharum any time today. Dont wait, leaving now is the safest option - conditions may change and get worse very quickly. Emergency Services may not be able to help you if you decide to stay. Travel to; - The home of family or friends that is away from the warning area. - Nearest regional area - such as Horsham or Hamilton. When driving, slow down and turn on your headlights; smoke will make it difficult to see.
