WCHE NEWS - The Pennsylvania Alliance for Retired Americans is celebrating Social Security’s 79th birthday today. Representatives from the Alliance and various organizations will host an information session at the Coatesville Senior Center. The session will provide information on medicare, retirement, and a host of other social security related issues. President of the Alliance Wayne Burton said social security enables senior citizens to maintain their purchasing power and independence. Today’s celebration is open to the public and is scheduled for 11 a.m. at the Coatesville Senior Center.
