WE KNOW NOT THE HOUR Do you tire if hearing about Jesus coming - TopicsExpress

WE KNOW NOT THE HOUR Do you tire if hearing about Jesus coming again? Do you worry that you are unprepared for His return? Is it that you still have things here on earth that you want to get done first? Perhaps you know deep in your heart, that you arent really walking the talk? I know that I write frequently about the second coming of Jesus, but His return is the essence of the gospel message! In my Fathers house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also. (John 14:2-3 KJV). If Jesus had died and resurrected only to go back to heaven and leave humanity in the same condition in which He had found them, His entire ministry would have been for nothing! The plan of salvation was to save us from the curse of sin - death. For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. (Romans 6:23 KJV). That gift of God IS the gospel message! In the promise above, where He said He would return, it also shows us the reason for His delay. He is preparing a place for us. Does that mean He is building houses and putting in streets? Of course not! Jesus is acting as our Lawyer, Advocate, before the Father, telling Him of each one of humanity and how He paid the price for that one, and that one, for all humanity that calls Him their Savior... My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous: And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world. (1 John 2:1-2 KJV). Jesus is coming soon! The morals here continue to decay and sin is growing, soon to consume the earth, and before long it will be just as it was the other times God felt compelled to destroy humanity. And as it was in the days of Noe, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man. They did eat, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ark, and the flood came, and destroyed them all. (Luke 17:26-27 KJV). This was their punishment for living in sin, and Noahs reward for his faithfulness to the Lord. Elsewhere in the scriptures, it likens the end days to Sodom and Gomorrah, which God destroyed with fire and brimstone because of their wickedness! Another passage speaks of our judgment and reward: When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory: And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats: And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left. Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:. (Matthew 25:31-34 KJV). Jesus will come. There is a final judgment. I love hearing and reading about the return of Jesus; I long to see His face! My Jeanne
