WE STARTED OUR CELEBRATION OF AMERICA’S 237TH BIRTHDAY TODAY, AS - TopicsExpress

WE STARTED OUR CELEBRATION OF AMERICA’S 237TH BIRTHDAY TODAY, AS ALWAYS, IN THE WEE HOURS OF THE MORNING PRAYERS, at the Lord’s Fellowship Church, asking for blessings for this 2nd biggest democracy of the world for peace, progress and prosperity, and for its leaders - from the federal to the local levels - godliness, godly wisdom, righteousness, purity of hearts, vision, and effectiveness in their governance. Last night, we also kicked off the Fil-Am Convention (now on its 27th Year) at the church on The Hill here in Vallejo California. This an annual convention of Filipino American evangelical churches from Northern and Southern California that is held around the July 4th holiday, their theme almost always focusing on evangelism, church growth, love, compassion and cooperation. Seems like only yesterday that we travelled annually to the various cities of Southern Cal to attend the convention, with our children Christie and David, as children and later as teens. This week, they come back as guest teachers and youth leaders in many break-out lecture sessions. What a transformation or passing of the batons in the church, from the Elijah generation to the Elisha years! Pastor Elmer L. DeLeon 7/4/13 (P.S.
