WE WANT SYED RASEL BACK AGAIN IN NATIONAL TEAM WE WANT SYED RASEL BACK AGAIN IN NATIONAL TEAM WE WANT SYED RASEL BACK AGAIN IN NATIONAL TEAM WE WANT SYED RASEL BACK AGAIN IN NATIONAL TEAM WE WANT SYED RASEL BACK AGAIN IN NATIONAL TEAM Once in a while the Bangladesh National Cricket Team coach Jemmy Siddons dropped pacer Syed Rasel from the national squad. That turmoil is still chasing him. The six feet one pacer is now working as a storekeeper in his own cloth store. Though Bangladesh has not have too many pacers like him. Medium pacer Rasel was a brilliant swing bowler, he was an inevitable part of the national team. Now a days he is a full fledged cloth businessman whose life is circling around customers and employees of the shop instead of swing and pace. Though he made his debut as early as 2005, he could play only 52 matches over 6 years taking 61 wickets. He had an ability to check runs and made early breakthroughs more accurately than any other bowlers. Rasel bowled a total of 441 over among them 41 was maiden with an economy rate of 4. In debut match he took 2 for 42 in 10 over. Rasel did a wonderful spell against the match in which Bangladesh won against Sri Lanka in Bogura. He took 2 wickets for just 28 runs with 2 maidens in 10 over. In 2007 World Cup, Team Bangladesh beat India where India could manage only 80 runs in first 10 over’s; the main contribution behind it was Rasel’s tight bowling as he took 2 wickets for only 31 runs in 10 over’s. Later Bangladesh beat South Africa where Rasel took 2 for 41 runs in 10 over. In year of 2008 when Bangladesh played against New Zealand, the medium pacer did a dream spell of 10-4-23-3. Rasel could maintain his opacity in T20s’ also. The first T20 match that Bangladesh won, Rasel contributed well in that match by returning back dangerous Chris Gayle in the very first over. Rasel played his last ODI match in 2010 against Ireland and he is out of the test squad after the Sri Lanka tour in 2007. The domestic cricket is under the shadow of uncertainty. No one knows when Premier League will on its way. The players who are out of the national team have nothing to do unless passing a long spare time.
