My mother says humanity is the garment of dignity (eniyan laso iyi), but I believe dignity must be worn according to fitness and size. The only cloak I had, was worn for one day during my engagement to my wife after several persuasions and agreements between us. I had several compliments from others who loved it on me. But I was most uncomfortable on that day. It was like wearing metallic suit for your matriculation! To most of my friends, it was a cloak of dignity, but to me, it was unfit for my slim size! I cant forget seeing brothers on Sundays, wearing finger reaching shirts with the knots of their ties resting around the chest, far below the neck region. Seeing suits large like overalls better worn in winter by surgeons, on tongue blasting brothers is spiritually hilarious. Neither could hips tightening, burst squeezing garments on sisters be less appalling on singspirational stages under the trendy grace of casual ministry! I dont even want to talk about some terrible colour combinations that reflect more psychological confusions than fashionable disorientations! The cost of fashionable friendship does not translate to its fitness on you. The floods of some trendy relational garments does not necessarily have to flow through the drainage of your ministerial or business apartments. The latest is never synonymous to His interest! There are humans like garments, who though expensive to get, but unfitting to wear! I can imagine my four year old, insisting on wearing my shoes to school! There are cloth merchants out there, who confuse sincere customers in social and spiritual boutiques of one size fits all orations. They throw the large size around your neck, hiding the excess yardage and convince you to buy without measuring your real size. In life, I have learnt, the fact that a cloth looks like your size, never means after wearing it, in front of the mirrors of reality, it will fit you! You stand at a disadvantage, if you approach those manipulative merchants, versed in the lyrics of deceptions, and you are ignorant of your collar, waist and length sizes! You dont guess your size in friendship. You dont pay for it before trying it on! You dont assume merchants should know what fits you and trust them to select the quality that best defines your dignity! You go armed with accurate measurements of your sizes, using the tapes of simplicity. There are several options of dresses in life, cut and tailored by providence, bearing your size in mind. If you honestly do not find your taste of honest and righteous fitness in a place, walk away with the one you have, there are other places youve never seen where you could get endless options of great, fitting, fashionably righteous garments of humanity! If God selects you for spanner holding, bolts screwing, nuts tightening engineering field of life, wearing slim fit, costly Hawes & Curtis types of people in relationship will not help you. Your value for duty is the womb of dignity in life, not the reverse! If God intends you to till the soul winning farmland, in rural regions of life, dressing up in suits is an aberration to your calling! If the jungle boots of rugged service with back aching labour is your next spiritual fashion consignments, wearing people with Clarks orientation, will make you hurt your feet! There are folks, best worn in boardrooms, but disastrous for your bedrooms. There are spiritual heads of departments, fitting to be worn in church for religious activities, but overflow in excesses, dropping below the waist with a slack elastic band of truth! All their belt traps of righteousness have been cut off through the hooks of crook ideas and greed. You cannot manage to wear them on the stage of purpose without defects and a seam bursting embarrassment! If you know where you are going in life, you must also know the dress codes! Some folks do not fit your THERE!
