WEARING UNIFORM IN PUBLIC There appears to be some residual confusion following the restrictions on the wearing of uniform in public by cadets imposed in the wake of the dreadful incident at Woolwich last week and the almost immediate repeal of the restrictions. To clarify the position, there is no blanket restriction on the wearing of uniform in public by cadets. In fact the wearing of uniform in public is encouraged. However, it is recognised that there may be local reasons why the wearing of uniform could have other than beneficial results. In these circumstances local commanders may decide to instruct cadets to cover up when in public.
