TONIGHT: Lake effect snow winds down as SW winds kick in. Quiet & cool tonight with lows in the lower teens. Wind chill values near 0°. WEDNESDAY: A weak system passes overhead, bringing many areas 1-2 of snow. Trace to 1 south of US-30, with 1-2 north of US-30. Temperatures warm into the upper 20s to lower 30s. WEDNESDAY EVENING: Behind the system, winds switch back to the WNW. Cold air will filter over Lake Michigan, once again kicking up the lake effect snow machine. Many areas in SW MI and extreme northern Indiana (mainly north of US-20) will see another 4-6 of snow. Lesser amounts the farther south you live. THURSDAY: Lake effect snow continues much of the day. By late evening/overnight when it begins to calm down, areas stuck under a snow band for several hours will likely see well in excess of 6. FRIDAY & WEEKEND: Quiet on Friday with temperatures in the upper 20s. 40s and 50s return this weekend... maybe even a rumble of thunder. Michiana weather! Fog will develop this weekend for those of you who have snow on the ground.
