WELCOME TO KLIENFONTEIN WHITE ONLY AREA. Klienfontein, 30 km southeast of Pretoria, is a self styled 500ha Afrikaner settlement similar to Orania, the Afrikaner enclave in the Karoo in the Northern Cape. Its mission is to preserve the culture, language and religion of the Afrikaner people without being threatened or harassed. No police or any Black person is allowed in this area. It has its own Bank, school and Rugby team. Only Private Security company is allowed to operate there not police. It is simply a Boerestaad a Volkstaad. It was established in 1992 when a group of Afrikaners realised that power would eventually be handed over to black majority and that no considerable was given to the future of Afrikaner people. Today up to 900 people are economically active in the town and it boasts 650 residents and 400 shareholders.
