WELCOME TO THE NEW YEAR AT YUBA HARVEST! Open again for business -- 7 days a week -- on Saturday, January 10th Whats new: More emphasis on Farm-to-Fork: Starting February 7, we will host a Farm to Fork dinner every first and third Saturday of the month, featuring local products in season. Our good friend Wayne Bishop (Bishops Pumpkin Farm) is providing us with pumpkin-fed Berkshire pork in February, and Chef Rene Medina will build a menu around using the whole pig. Upcoming Spring and Summer meals will be based on Richards Grass-fed Beef, Kim and Garys free-range chickens, Cara and Aarons grass-fed lamb, and other locally raised animals. Vegetarian meals will be available. Seating will be limited to 20 people. More emphasis on wine and wine-tastings: In conjunction with our Oregon House/Dobbins friends, we will be hosting a Yuba Foothills Wine Year 2015, with events in February, April, June and August, which will allow for barrel tastings and tours of the vineyards in their different seasonal phases. We will also have a return visit from New Clairvaux vineyard in late January, with some of their new releases, and of other wineries throughout the year. Brand new Monday through Friday lunch menu: Daily specials created for us by Rene, two daily soups made from seasonal ingredients, and more. More retail selection: We will be focused on providing an ever-greater variety of products for your daily shopping, including more organic produce, grass-fed beef, fresh pasta and a selection of grocery items (sauces, nut butters, dairy, etc.) that will make home preparation healthier and more delicious. A prettier shop: We confess that the restoration we are closed for is mostly for the human beings (weve been sleeping a lot). That said, we have also upgraded our tables and shelving with more of Ted Pearsons beautiful cedar. Whats the same: Our mission: to showcase the great local products of our North Yuba Grown area; and our desire: to provide a warm gathering place for the whole community to enjoy and share.
