There is confusion in Kano state, as citizens protest the selection of the former CBN Governor, Mallam Sanusi Lamido Sanusi as the 14th Emir of Kano. The angry crowd are requesting that their preferred candidate, Alhaji Sanusi Ado Bayero, the eldest son of the late Emir of Kano, who was overwhelmingly supported by the Kingmakers and Elders from the state be appointed the New Emir. The protesters are destroying and burning government properties, as they claimed that their Emir was imposed on them by Politicians of APC from Lagos The protesters who are marching to the Government House, were stopped by armed soldiers and policemen who formed a barricade to stop them from getting near the seat of government. Ibrahim Mohammed a banker in Kano, queried that with Mallam Sanusi Lamido Sanusi being indicted and cases in various courts in Nigeria, that means that their Emir might be jailed if found guilty. That will be a generational embarrassment to Kano people and eill forever rubbish the throne of Emir.
