WHAT IN THE HELL!!!???? Have the new sci fi abomination on while trying to get some work done. What is this dreck? First, the idea of parallel evolution on plantery systems is BULLSHIT. You are NOT going to get life forms so closely related from evolution UNLESS both planets were seeded with identical life forms and fairly recently. Whatever life is out there is going to look more like the Prawns of District 9 or the Greys from Stargate and X Files then the humanoids of Star Trek and Star Crossed. Second, we live on the Orion Spur of the Sagittariian Arm of the Milky Way Galaxy. Our AM band broadcasts do NOT leave the ionosphere BUT all fm and tv broadcasts have been spreading across this area of space for over a half centuary. That is a sphere over 120 LIGHT YEARS ACROSS. And there are THOUSANDS of stars in that area. And, according to Hoyles equation, in a group of approximately 10,000 stars, there would be a minimum of 100 planets with life humans would recognize as such, about 10 with intelligent life and one equal to or more advanced then ourselves. And, the chances that they would look human is negligible. The chance that they could BREED with humans? Absolutely impossible. Chimps share over 99% of their dna with humans but a human-chimp hybrid is absolutely impossible because of the number of chromosomes involved. And yet, we still rake out that old chestnut of human-alien hybrids. Its more then a quarter centuary since the Alien nation movie and tv series and networks are STILL crapping around with star crossed lovers. Sorry, but Im willing to bet that intelligent extraterrestrial life would veiw interspecies fornication to be bestiality at best. Assuming the parts are compatible.I really doubt there is a lot of intragalactic orgies going on out there. Xenophobia is most likely Universal. Although, if a life form evolved from a canine or feline biped, that means LOTS OF BOOBIES to play with. And human men will poke ANYTHING that is warm and fuzzy with boingy boingys to bounce off their face so,,,who knows.
