|WHAT STRATEGIES SHOULD BE ADOPTED IN UPCOMING | -----------------------------MATCHES??------- ------------------ - by #SnZv After lossing the MATCH against NETHERLAND,NEPAL slipped to the 3rd POSITION in group B. The RUN RATE of NEPAL still is in positive sign (+0.357) . Today also, like in almost matches, poor Opening seems to be the main reason of loss. Our batting seems to be totally dependent on Middle orders. Bowlers are doing their duty very well. Basant did fantastic job today,by taking 3wicket for 12 runs in his 4 overs.Paras,Shakti & Mukhiya also did well. Amrit was very expensive today. He gave 24runs in his 2 overs. Sagar gave 11runs in his only one over. I think Sagar is not a good option for opening in place of Pradeep. Both in batting & bowling,he is not able to do something in this qualifier. Mandal & Mahesh are not given chance yet. By examining all the qualifier matches played by Nepal upto now; Khakurel,Paras and Binod seems to be in good form. Gyanendra & Veswakar are also doing well.We also have good tale-enders like Basant & Shakti. So we do not need any other extra batsmen like Anil or Pradip specially at number 7. All we need is to give focus on the opening. OPENING & FAST BOWLers, are the main things that we lack. So I think Mahesh Chhetri & Avinash Karn should be given a chance in place of Amrit & Pradeep. If not, Pradip should be back in his opening position. according to me,Batting Composition should be like this in the next match- openers- Pradeep/Mahesh S.Khakurel middle orders- G.Malla P.Khadka S.Veswakar B.bhandari Tale-enders- Sagar Basant Regmi S.Gauchan J.Mukhiya Avinash Karn. ----------------------- Bowling- opening spell- Mukhiya & Captain himself ( 2-2 overs) 2nd spell- Basant & Avinash (2-2 overs) and other spells should be done according to the batting condition of opponent. As Mukhiya & Avinash are little unexperienced, they might give tons in the 19th & 20th over. So,I think,Basant & Paras should do the last spell (19th & 20th over)
