“WHAT THE BIBLE SAYS” (AND LET THE WORD OF ALMIGHTY GOD MINISTER TO YOUR HEARTS “) ITSELF- 2 Timothy 3:15- And that from a child you have known the Holy Scriptures (presents the greatest education any boy or girl could ever have), which are able to make you wise unto Salvation through Faith which is in Christ Jesus. (The entirety of the Word of God points directly to Christ and what He did on the Cross. The Old Testament points forward to His Coming and what He would do. The New Testament points backward to what He has already done. And at the center of it all is the Cross.) 16 All Scripture is given by Inspiration of God (the Greek says, “all Scripture is God-breathed,” which means it is the Word of God, and, thereby, infallible!), and is profitable for Doctrine (all we believe, teach, and do must be based squarely on the Scriptures), for reproof (proclaims the use of the Word of God in setting direction), for correction (refers to restoration to an upright state), for instruction in Righteousness (presents the Bible as the only guide for such instruction): Psalms 19:7- The Law of the LORD is perfect, converting the soul: the Testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple (this tells us that the Bible is Perfect; in fact, the Bible is the only revealed Truth in the world, and in fact ever has been; it alone can “make wise the simple”). GOD- Psalms 99:9- Exalt the LORD our God, and worship at His Holy Hill; for the LORD our God is Holy. (The Fifth Verse extols Israel to worship the Lord; this Ninth Verse extols the nations of the world to praise Israel’s God and Lord.) 1 Timothy 1:17- Now unto the King eternal (the Greek says, “Now, to the King of the Ages”), immortal (imperishable), invisible (as it regards His Glory), the only wise God (should have been translated, “the only God,” with the word “wise” not being included in most of the Manuscripts; there is no other God), be honour and glory forever and ever. (This refers to respect and praise, and that it be done forever.) Amen (Truth). Isaiah 45:21- Also her hired men are in the midst of her like fatted bullocks; for they also are turned back, and are fled away together: they did not stand, because the day of their calamity was come upon them, and the time of their visitation. (The Lord had marked Egypt for destruction, and irrespective as to what precautions they might take, all would be to no avail!) 22 The voice thereof shall go like a serpent; for they shall march with an army, and come against her with axes, as hewers of wood. (The “axes” have to do with battleaxes, which will be used by the Babylonians against the Egyptians, chopping them as they would chop wood. It is not a pretty picture!) MAN- Genesis 1:27- So God created man in His Own Image (the word “man” should have the definite article, and should read “the man,” that is, Adam -- the same man Adam spoken of in 2:7; these are not, therefore, two accounts of the creation of man, but one Divine statement), in the Image of God created He him (the Image of God was lost at the Fall; however, the restoration of the Image was carried out at the Cross, but the completion of that restoration will not take place until the First Resurrection); male and female created He them (represents, at least as far as we know, the first time that God has created the female gender, at least as it regards intelligent beings; there is no record of any female Angels). Genesis 2:7- And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground (proclaims the physical body made of clay), and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life (the “breath of life,” which comes from God, pertains to the soul and spirit of man; this was done with the first man, Adam, God breathing the soul and the spirit into man, and thereafter it comes automatically at conception); and man became a living soul (man is a soul, has a spirit, both which reside in the physical body; the soul addresses the body; the spirit addresses God; the physical body addresses the world). Isaiah 43:7- Even every one who is called by My Name: for I have created him for My Glory, I have formed him; yes, I have made him. (The very name of “Israel” means “Prince of God” or “Soldier of God,” and thus every Israelite was “called by God’s Name.”) HEAVEN- Revelation 21:3- And I heard a great Voice out of Heaven saying (according to the best manuscripts, the Voice now heard was heard “out of the Throne”), Behold, the Tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell with them, and they shall be His people, and God Himself shall be with them, and be their God. (Finally proclaims that which God intended from the beginning.) 4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes (actually says in the Greek, “every teardrop,” and refers to tears of sorrow); and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain (addresses sin and all its results): for the former things are passed away (refers to the entire effect of the Fall). Revelation 21:27- And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defiles, neither whatsoever works abomination, or makes a lie b(this means that all sin is forever banished, and will never return): ut they which are written in the Lamb’s Book of Life (refers to the Book of the Redeemed; the word “Lamb” refers to the fact that all are saved by placing their Faith and Trust in Christ and what He did for us at the Cross). SIN- ADAM Romans 5:12- Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world (by Adam), and death by sin (both spiritual and physical death); and so death passed upon all men (for all were in Adam), for that all have sinned (all are born in sin, because of Adam’s transgression): Isaiah 59:2- But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid His face from you, that He will not hear. (The problem is not God’s inability to save, or that He cannot hear, but rather that Judah has sinned, which always separates man from God.) Romans 3:23- For all have sinned (presents all men placed in the same category), and come short of the Glory of God (the Greek Text infers that even the most Righteous among us continue to come short of the Glory of God on a continuing basis) HELL- 2 Thessalonians 1:8- In flaming fire taking vengeance on them who know not God (gives us the manner of the Second Coming), and who obey not the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ (who have rejected Christ and the Cross): 9 Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the Presence of the Lord (pertains to the Lake of Fire, which will be everlasting), and from the Glory of His Power (power to save, but rejected, and, therefore, the end is “everlasting destruction”); Revelation 20:15- And whosoever was not found written in the Book of Life (refers to the record of all the unredeemed) was cast into the Lake of Fire. (This includes every single individual who isn’t Redeemed, beginning with Adam and Eve. That is, if they didn’t come back to God.) CHRIST IT’S ADVENT Micah 5:2 - But you, Beth-lehem Ephratah, though you be little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of you shall He come forth unto Me Who is to be Ruler in Israel; Whose goings forth have been from of old, from everlasting. (The question could be asked as to why the Holy Spirit would give these Prophecies in this fashion, having little or no chronological order? The answer probably falls into the same category as to why the Lord, in His earthly Ministry, mostly spoke in Parables [Lk. 8:10]. “But you, Beth-lehem Ephratah,” speaks of the birthplace of Christ. “Though you be little among the thousands of Judah,” signifies a small place, though the birthplace of David, as well! “Yet out of you shall He come forth unto Me, Who is to be Ruler in Israel,” speaks of Christ coming from the Tribe of Judah. This was prophesied by Jacob long before [Gen. 49:10]. “Whose goings forth have been from of old, from everlasting,” is meant to portray to any and all that this is not just any person, but rather, as Isaiah prophesied, “Immanuel, God with us” [Isa. 7:14].) Matthew 1:21- And she shall bring forth a Son, and you shall call His Name JESUS (Saviour): for He shall save His people from their sins. 22 Now all this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the Prophet, saying, 23 Behold, a Virgin shall be with Child, and shall bring forth a Son, and they shall call His Name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us (Isa. 7:14). Luke 2:10- And the Angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people (includes all races). 11 For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord (this Baby was not to become a King and a Saviour — He was born both). CHRIST HIS PERSON- John 10:30- I and My Father are One (the Greek Text says, “We are One”; these simple words destroy the teaching of those who deny the distinction of persons in the Godhead, and those who question the Deity of Christ). JESUS John 14:6- Jesus said unto Him, I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life (proclaims in no uncertain terms exactly Who and What Jesus is): no man comes unto the Father, but by Me (He declares positively that this idea of God as Father, this approach to God for every man is through Him — through what He is and what He has done). CHRIST HIS WORK- Luke 22:19- And He took bread, and gave thanks, and broke it, and gave unto them, saying, This is My Body which is given for you (His Body was prepared by God, in order that it be a Perfect Sacrifice [Heb. 10:5]): this do in remembrance of Me (in remembrance of His Death on the Cross of Calvary that purchased our Redemption, which we celebrate in that referred to as “the Lord’s Supper”). 20 Likewise also the cup after supper, saying, This cup is the New Testament (New Covenant) in My blood (the terminology is symbolic and figurative, not literal; Lev. 3:17 and Lev. 7:26 forbade the eating of blood), which is shed for you (which was done on the Cross of Calvary). 1 Peter 2:24- Who His Own Self bear our sins in His Own Body on the tree (gave Himself in Sacrifice on the Cross, taking the full penalty for our sins, which was physical death; it was not Christ’s suffering that redeemed us, although that definitely was a part of what happened, but rather the price He paid by the giving of Himself), that we, being dead to sins, should live unto Righteousness (we are “dead to sins” by virtue of us being “in Christ” when He died on the Cross, which is done by our exhibiting Faith in Christ [Rom. 6:3-5]; and we were raised with Him in “newness of life,” which guarantees us a perfect, spotless Righteousness): by Whose stripes you were healed. (This refers to the healing of our souls, and the healing of our physical body as well. The Atonement included everything man lost in the Fall, but we only have the Firstfruits now, with the balance coming at the Resurrection [Rom. 8:23].) DOCTRINE Colossians 1:14- In Whom we have Redemption through His Blood (proclaims the price that was paid for our Salvation), even the forgiveness of sins (at the Cross, the Lord broke the power of sin, and took away its guilt [Rom. 6:6]): Isaiah 53:5- But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon Him; and with His stripes we are healed. (“He was wounded for our transgressions,” pertains to the manner in which He died, which was the price He paid for the Redemption of humanity. “He was bruised for our iniquities,” means that what He suffered was not at all for Himself, but all for us. It was for our iniquities. Look at the Cross, and then say, “My sin did this.” “The chastisement of our peace was upon Him,” means that if peace between God and man was to be restored, all which Adam lost, then Jesus would have to bring it about. Here is the simple doctrine of the Gospel — the death of Christ. All other founders of religions base their claims upon their life and their teaching — their death was a calamity, and without significance. But the death of Christ was His Glory, and forms the imperishable foundation of the one and only Salvation. His purpose in coming was to die. “And with His stripes we are healed,” definitely pertains to physical healing, but is far greater in meaning than that. Its greater meaning refers to being healed of the terrible malady of sin.) 6 All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD has laid on Him the iniquity of us all. (Sheep without a shepherd get lost easily. Man as sheep has wandered from the right path; he has become so hopelessly lost that it is impossible for him, within his own means, to come back to the right path. Therefore, the Lord had to come from Heaven down to this wilderness called Earth and, thereby, seek and save man, who is lost. “We have turned every one to his own way,” refers to the fact that the whole world, collectively and individually, has sinned and come short of the Glory of God. This “erroneous way” has led to death, suffering, sorrow, heartache, loneliness, despair, and pain. This is the reason that everything that man touches dies! Whereas everything that God touches lives! So man desperately needs God’s Touch, i.e., “the Atonement of Calvary.” “And the LORD has laid on Him the iniquity of us all,” refers to the total price He paid for our total Salvation. The penalty for every sin for all of humanity and for all time was laid on Christ. God the Father, as the primary disposer of all things, lays upon the Son the burden which the Son voluntarily accepts. He comes into the world to do the Father’s Will, and the Father’s Will is to secure the Salvation of man, at least for those who will believe.) CHRIST HIS RESURRECTION- JESUS APPEARS Luke 24:36- And as they thus spoke, Jesus Himself stood in the midst of them (refers to an instant appearance and Revelation; John added that “the doors were shut”), and said unto them, Peace be unto you (presents His first words to them as a group after the Resurrection). Luke 24:39- Behold My hands and My feet, that it is I Myself: handle Me, and see (they will now understand what His Resurrection really was); for a spirit has not flesh and bones, as you see Me have (in other words, Jesus was telling them that He was not a disembodied spirit; He, in fact, had a physical body of flesh and bones; no blood is mentioned because the Glorified Body has no blood; whereas now the life of the flesh is in the blood, then, when our bodies are Glorified, the life will be in the Spirit, i.e., “Holy Spirit”). 1 Corinthians 15:3- For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received (the meaning of the New Covenant), how that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures ([Ps. 22:15], speaks of the Cross of Christ); 4 And that He was buried (because He really died, not merely swoon as some claim), and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures ([Isa. 53:10; Hos. 6:2], the Resurrection of Christ was the demonstration of the perfection and efficacy of His Atonement): FAITH- Acts 20:20- And how I kept back nothing that was profitable unto you (he did not allow anything to silence his voice respecting the great Doctrine of Jesus Christ and Him Crucified), but have showed you (explained the Scriptures), and have taught you publickly, and from house to house (most Churches were then in houses), 21 Testifying both to the Jews, and also to the Greeks (the Gospel is the same for all), repentance toward God, and Faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ (presents the Gospel in the proverbial nutshell; Faith in Christ pertains to Faith in what He did at the Cross). Hebrews 11:6- But without Faith (in Christ and the Cross; anytime Faith is mentioned, always and without exception, its root meaning is that its Object is Christ and the Cross; otherwise, it is faith God will not accept) it is impossible to please Him (faith in anything other than Christ and the Cross greatly displeases the Lord): for he who comes to God must believe that He is (places Faith as the foundation and principle of the manner in which God deals with the human race), and that He (God) is a rewarder of them who diligently seek Him (seek Him on the premise of Christ and Him Crucified). REDEMPTION Ephesians 2:8- For by Grace (the Goodness of God) are you Saved through Faith (Faith in Christ, with the Cross ever as its Object); and that not of yourselves (none of this is of us, but all is of Him): it is the Gift of God (anytime the word “Gift” is used, God is speaking of His Son and His Substitutionary Work on the Cross, which makes all of this possible): 9 Not of works (man cannot merit Salvation, irrespective what he does), lest any man should boast (boast in his own ability and strength; we are allowed to boast only in the Cross [Gal. 6:14]). LIFE- John 3:3- Jesus answered and said unto him (presents an answer totally different from that which he expected), Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except a man be born again (the term, “born again,” means that man has already had a natural birth, but now must have a Spiritual Birth, which comes by Faith in Christ, and what He has done for us at the Cross, and is available to all), he cannot see the Kingdom of God (actually means that without the New Birth, one cannot understand or comprehend the “Kingdom of God”). John 1:12- But as many as received Him (some did receive Him, and some do receive Him), to them gave He power to become the sons of God (constitutes one of the greatest Promises in the Word of God), even to them who believe on His Name (Faith in Christ and in what He has done for us at the Cross alone can make a person a “son or daughter of God”): 13 Which were born, not of blood (means that men become God’s Children not by natural birth), nor of the will of the flesh (man cannot earn Salvation, it is a free gift, received upon Faith), nor of the will of man (refers to man’s religious efforts), but of God (Salvation is not at all of man, but altogether of God). John 3:36- He who believes on the Son has Everlasting Life (proclaims to one and all the simple Plan of Salvation; the consequences are eternal): and he who believes not the Son shall not see life (this means that there is only one way to be Saved, and that is by trusting Christ and what He has done for us at the Cross); but the Wrath of God abides on him (the only way to be cleansed from sin is by the Precious Blood of Christ, and our Faith in that Finished Work; to not do that means that sin remains, and the Wrath of God must evermore be opposed to sin, and those who allow it to remain in their lives). 2 Corinthians 5:17- Therefore if any man be in Christ (Saved by the Blood), he is a new creature (a new creation): old things are passed away (what we were before Salvation); behold, all things are become new. (The old is no longer useable, with everything given to us now by Christ as “new.”) Now that you have read the word of God, which is the truth (John 17:17). Have you now made a decision to follow Jesus? The bible says that all humanity has an appointment with death (Hebrews 9:27) and after that the judgement. None of us know when that appointed time will be, so today if you will hear his voice speaking to you, “DON’T REJECT HIS CALLING” it just could be your last calling before you depart this world. LIVE FOR CHRIST TODAY AND YOU WILL HAVE EVERLASTING LIFE. . Saying WORDS wont save you, but putting your faith in Jesus Christ and acknowledging that you have sinned and need Jesus Christ the Saviour to be Lord of your life. HOW TO RECEIVE Romans 10:9- That if you shall confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus (confess that Jesus is the Lord of Glory, and the Saviour of men, and that He died on the Cross that we might be Saved), and shall believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead (pertains to the Bodily Resurrection of Christ, as is obvious), you shall be Saved (it is that simple!). 10 For with the heart man believes unto Righteousness (presents the word “believing” in a mode of “thinking,” not of feeling; the “believing” has to do with believing Christ, and that His Sacrifice of Himself Atoned for all sin); and with the mouth confession is made unto Salvation (when Faith comes forth from its silence to announce itself and proclaim the Glory and the Grace of the Lord, its voice “is confession”). 11 For the Scripture says (combining parts of Isa. 28:16 with 49:23), Whosoever believes on Him (proclaims the fact that Salvation is reachable by all) shall not be ashamed (in essence says, “shall not be put to shame,” but rather will receive what is promised). NOW SAY THE SINNERS PRAYER God I repent of my sins. Jesus come into my heart and make me a new creation. I believe that you are the Son of God, and that God has raised you from the dead. From this day forward I make you Lord and Saviour of my Life. AMEN !!!!! NOW YOU ARE SAVED I would like to encourage you to find a bible believing Church, where you can be taught the WORD OF GOD and continue to grow in the ways of the Lord. Praise the Lord and give God ALL the Glory.
