WHAT THE CBN ACT SAYS ABOUT THE REMOVAL OF THE CBN GOVERNOR: Section 11(2)(f) of the CBN Act states: “A person shall not remain a Governor, Deputy Governor or Director of the Bank if he is removed by the President: Provided that the removal of the Governor shall be supported by two-thirds majority of the Senate praying that he be so removed.” Except any other relevant portion of the constitution or act is cited that empowers GEJ to remove the CBN Governor, then this act by GEJ is unconstitutional…. But then GEJ has never shied away from committing unconstitutional acts, especially when it involves the removal of public officials that are neutral, critical or perceived not to be in support of his government’s gourmet of corruption! My take… Feel free to disagree…
