WHEN WE DONT READ WE SUBMIT TO IGNORANCE BECAUSE WITHOUT READING WE DONT KNOW, WHAT WE DONT KNOW! by Deirdre May 1, 2014 When we dont read we submit to ignorance because without reading [just taking someone elses word for things] we dont know, what we dont know! Then we go around making comments out of ignorance instead of wisdom. Here is an example: A woman named Dawn Hodge was apparently angry at something I posted and so she made this remark about our Facebook Page. Totaly missing the concept of leading ppl to Christ. More like judgeing going on than anything, using the word of God to cut instead of letting God do the cutting. I would be scaired to be in her shoes when she stands before Christ. Furthermore Totaly goes against what God says: he does not call women to teach or to preach because she was decieved and not Adam and women are not to userp athourity over a man. The man is above a woman, not the other way around. - Dawn Hodge There are many erroneous assumptions in Ms. Hodges post, but for brevity sake, I am only going to address three: First (1), The Lord has not commissioned the Ministry of Second Timothy, Inc. to lead people to Christ. The Lord has commissioned our ministry to speak to people like Dawn Hodge who claim that they have already been led to Christ, but who in truth, do NOT know Christ. The Lord has commissioned this ministry to remove falsehood and lies that are being propagated by false teachers. “Remove falsehood and lies far from me …” – Proverbs 30:8 Second (2), I have not said or taught anything that goes against God. Anyone who cares to remove the speck from their eye and actually read what I write, you will see that our writings are totally grounded in scripture. For example, Ms. Hodge attacks my writing as going against God, then she paraphrases the teachings of Paul the Apostle as her basis. But unknown to Ms. Hodge and many who rely on Pauls teachings --- The Apostle Paul was a false teacher. He was allowed to mislead the saints for the purpose of training the saints to teach the saints how to discern a false teacher. A false teacher is one who presumes to be acting under Gods authority, but who teaches in their own name instead of Gods or a false teacher is one who contradicts the teachings of Jesus Christ. Paul the Apostle was both! The Lord warned us that one would come, speaking in his own name who we [the saints] would believe. In a separate revelation the Lord also warned that the beast would be given permission to overcome the saints. Jesus said I have come in my Fathers name, and you do not receive me. If another comes in his own name, you will receive him. - John 5:43 Paul the Apostle taught (what Dawn Hodge paraphrased) in his own name. I [Paul] desire then that in every place the men should pray, lifting holy hands without anger or quarreling; likewise also that women should adorn themselves in respectable apparel, with modesty and self-control, not with braided hair and gold or pearls or costly attire, but with what is proper for women who profess godliness—with good works. Let a woman learn quietly with all submissiveness. I [Paul] do not permit a woman to teach or to exercise authority over a man; rather, she is to remain quiet. For Adam was formed first, then Eve; and Adam was not deceived, but the woman was deceived and became a transgressor. Yet she will be saved through childbearing—if they continue in faith and love and holiness, with self-control. - 1 Timothy 2:8-15 Not only did Paul teach in his own name, but his teaching that women were less than men contradicts Gods teaching that man and woman are created equal. So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them. - Genesis 1:27 Man and woman were created in Gods image. There is nothing in Gods image that is subservient. If you want to know more with respect to this point #2 then visit our website and click on the link that says My Writings and then the link that says Religion and then the link that says The Truth About Apostle Paul you will learn the truth about Apostle Paul. (theMinistryof2Timothy.org). Also I have expanded on this argument in other writings on our website: a) Was Adam A Leader? b) Eve Has Been Forgiven also found under the Religion link. Third (3) Anyone who cares to know the truth -- that God did not create woman subservient to men - as Paul falsely taught and Ms. Hodge ignorantly regurgitated ... just open the bible for yourself and read scripture. There are many examples of God placing women in leadership roles, and men being commanded by a woman and seeking women for counsel. Now Deborah, a prophetess, the wife of Lappidoth, was judging Israel at that time. - Judges 4:4 She sent and summoned Barak the son of Abinoam from Kedesh-naphtali and said to him, “Has not the Lord, the God of Israel, commanded you, ‘Go, gather your men at Mount Tabor, taking 10,000 from the people of Naphtali and the people of Zebulun. Judges 4:6 So Hilkiah the priest, and Ahikam, and Achbor, and Shaphan, and Asaiah went to Huldah the prophetess, the wife of Shallum the son of Tikvah, son of Harhas, keeper of the wardrobe (now she lived in Jerusalem in the Second Quarter), and they talked with her. 15 And she said to them, “Thus says the Lord, the God of Israel: ‘Tell the man who sent you to me, 16 Thus says the Lord, Behold, I will bring disaster upon this place and upon its inhabitants, all the words of the book that the king of Judah has read. 17 Because they have forsaken me and have made offerings to other gods, that they might provoke me to anger with all the work of their hands, therefore my wrath will be kindled against this place, and it will not be quenched. 18 But to the king of Judah, who sent you to inquire of the Lord, thus shall you say to him, Thus says the Lord, the God of Israel: Regarding the words that you have heard, 19 because your heart was penitent, and you humbled yourself before the Lord, when you heard how I spoke against this place and against its inhabitants, that they should become a desolation and a curse, and you have torn your clothes and wept before me, I also have heard you, declares the Lord. 20 Therefore, behold, I will gather you to your fathers, and you shall be gathered to your grave in peace, and your eyes shall not see all the disaster that I will bring upon this place.’” And they brought back word to the king. - 2 Kings 22:14-20 And there was a prophetess, Anna, the daughter of Phanuel, of the tribe of Asher. She was advanced in years, having lived with her husband seven years from when she was a virgin, and then as a widow until she was eighty-four. She did not depart from the temple, worshiping with fasting and prayer night and day. And coming up at that very hour she began to give thanks to God and to speak of him to all who were waiting for the redemption of Jerusalem. - Luke 2:36-38 Then Miriam the prophetess, the sister of Aaron, took a tambourine in her hand, and all the women went out after her with tambourines and dancing. - Exodus 15:20 And I went to the prophetess, and she conceived and bore a son. Then the Lord said to me, “Call his name Maher-shalal-hash-baz; - Isaiah 8:3 He had four unmarried daughters, who prophesied. - Acts 21:9 “‘And in the last days it shall be, God declares, that I will pour out my Spirit on all flesh, and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams; even on my male servants and female servants in those days I will pour out my Spirit, and they shall prophesy. - Acts 2:17-18 SO NEVER WORRY ABOUT SOMEONE ELSES STANDING BEFORE CHRIST UNTIL YOU ARE SURE OF YOUR OWN FOOTING, BECAUSE YOU ARE IN NO POSITION TO JUDGE THAT WHICH YOU DO NOT KNOW! “Judge not, that you be not judged. For with the judgment you pronounce you will be judged, and with the measure you use it will be measured to you. Why do you see the speck that is in your brothers eye, but do not notice the log that is in your own eye? 4 Or how can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ when there is the log in your own eye? 5 You hypocrite, first take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take the speck out of your brothers eye. - Matthew 7: 1-5
