WHO SAY WE DON’T HAVE MATERIALS IN IPOKIA? CHECK THIS OUT: THE MAN ;ALH. PRINCE ADEWOLE ADEYANJU! One wrong notion that has always come to fore about our domain, Ipokia Local Government is that, we lack quality materials who can stand others from other regions to contest for higher elective posts. I have also at times nurse such fears especially after our entreaties to aspirants from the land to send us their profiles to present to our friends on the net and especially the young minds who will be in position to educate our electorates, failed to yield any results. To further confirm my fears, some aspirants to house of assembly seats even went ahead to attach their qualifications to their names on their campaign posters as if BSc or Msc is a big deal in Ipokia land and should better be used as a campaign tool. In response to this entreaty and perhaps to demonstrate a rare humility which is uncommon in most of our aspirants, I opened my mail this yesterday evening to be confronted with the profile of one man I will describe as a golden fish who all these whiles has been in the hidden or perhaps has only sat at the top there playing the game from the top unknown to many of us. So, in this piece, I felt humble but proud as an Ipokia son to present to you the profile of a golden fish, a worthy son Ipoki land who is ready to offer himself for service to his community, worthy to be proud of and supported beyond party lines to represent us in the senate and who is humble enough to send his profile to a common Ipokia Mirror, who never know him from Adam and who never seen him face-face before. His posters currently show he is vieing the PDP ticket to contest as a candidate for the Senate representing Ogun West in, 2015 elections. While I belief the complaints of most of us about this hidden golden fish from our Local Government and indeed, the Nazareth of our time, will rightly be the fact that he might have been a bit far from the grassroots and seems not known to most of us (including the writer), I belief if he could be humble enough to send us his profile, them he will be very willing to remember us in the grassroot when given the opportunity. Although we are not unaware that the game is not to the swift, nor to the most intelligent but belongs to God and moreover considering the complicated nature of Ogun State politics as the 2015 elections draws near with the influx of different interest groups, we still believe, God’s hand is in this project. Let’s have your views, criticisms and comments.
