WHY CANT I ENROLL AS A VOTER IN INDIAN ELECTIONS : The Parliament - TopicsExpress

WHY CANT I ENROLL AS A VOTER IN INDIAN ELECTIONS : The Parliament has passed the law that an overseas Indian with Indian citizenship can enroll as a voter and come to India and vote where he/she is enrolled. But the enrollment process is like a ice slab. The EC site where an NRI can register as a voter is not user friendly (in fact, its a sham). It wants a Mobile no (Indian) from a person who has a foreign mobile no. So you cant proceed to fill a so-called form 6-A. The rest is history. Letters (Emails) written to relevant authorities (EC, Indian Consulate Melb, Indian high Commission Canberra) have no response or value. No one cares. This must be happening across the globe. Indian citizens overseas have no value. Millions wasted by BJP and Cong on Pravasi Bhartiya Diwas each year have gone down the drain. BHARAT MATA KI JAI!
