WHY IT MAY BE WRONG TO PLEDGE THE FLAG, by Tj Lucas To make a - TopicsExpress

WHY IT MAY BE WRONG TO PLEDGE THE FLAG, by Tj Lucas To make a pledge is to make a solemn promise or to make agreement to do or refrain from doing something. In the case of the pledge to the flag, it is clearly understood that our flag represents our country. I would like to point out a few things that may not be so obvious to some; First of all: Being believers, it is not wise for us to make any promise to our country and our leaders. Especially. As it drifts farther and farther away from God. It may even be considered by God to be an “evil” act to make such a pledge. >> Matthew 5:33 ¶ Again, ye have heard that it hath been said by them of old time, Thou shalt not forswear thyself, but shalt perform unto the Lord thine oaths: 34 But I say unto you, Swear not at all; neither by heaven; for it is God’s throne: 35 Nor by the earth; for it is his footstool: neither by Jerusalem; for it is the city of the great King. 36 Neither shalt thou swear by thy head, because thou canst not make one hair white or black. 37 But let your communication be, Yea, yea; Nay, nay: for whatsoever is more than these cometh of evil. Second of all: The “Republic” that our pledge was written for was at the time defined as a “Unitary, Federal Multi-State Union.” By this, I mean that it was composed of independently governed and sovereign states which controlled its common Federal Government. Our country ceased to be a true “Republic” at the end of the Civil War. From that time forward the Federal Government has usurped authority over the States Governments. The government that we are pledging to no longer exists, in more ways than that. She may, or may not have been under God, in Her beginnings, depending on your concept of God. It is a well documented fact that the god of Americas founders was the god of the Illuminati. With few exceptions, those founders of our great nation were not Bible believing “Christians.” Third of all: Even if our country was “One Nation under God,” it no longer has God as its authority. The majority of American Citizens are either, not “Christians,” Atheists, Agnostics, Cultists and/or God haters, not standing for Godly living in any way shape or form. It has forsaken God as a majority. In closing: I will stand for my country for what is left of its Godly principles. I will pray for my country. I will be the best American that I can possibly be, in following my conscience. I will let my “Yea” be “Yea” and my “Nay” be “Nay.” However, I will not make any oath that may (and often does) require denying my Lord.
