WHY TROPICAL SYSTEM LIKELY NO THREAT TO U.S. Hurricane hunters - TopicsExpress

WHY TROPICAL SYSTEM LIKELY NO THREAT TO U.S. Hurricane hunters have been investigating the area of low pressure east of the Lesser Antilles and havent found enough evidence to classify this as a tropical depression. That could still happen over the next few days, but it may not matter. The guidance I look at is nearly unanimous in keeping the system away from the United States. All the reliable models show a massive ridge of high pressure over the eastern U.S. and one over the middle of the Atlantic ocean. As we head through the weekend, a trough of low pressure will develop over the western Atlantic producing a big break between the ridges that will allow the system to escape out to sea. As usual, until it actually happens, well continue to watch it very carefully. Remember this bogus forecast calling for this system to become a major hurricane and hit the gulf coast? Its a perfect example of why its so important to know your sources so you know whats legit and whats not!
