WHY WAS JESUS SEND TO THE WORLD??? So Jesus came to Nazareth, Where He had been brought up. And as His custom was, He went into the synagogue on the Sabbath day, And stood up to read. And He was handed the book of the prophet Isaiah. And when He had opened the book, He found the place where it was written: “The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, Because He has anointed Me To preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, To proclaim liberty to the captives And recovery of sight to the blind, To set at liberty those who are oppressed; To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord .” Luke 4:16-19 Note:- Jesus read from Isaiah 61. If we read the Scripture, Jesus only read Isaiah 61 versus 1 to 2a. The second part of Vers 2 reads as follow:- "And the day of vengeance of our God..." Why did Jesus NOT continue reading the second part of Isaiah 61:2 ? John 3:16 "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, That whoever believes in Him should not persish but have everlasting life." Then in Vers 17 "For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, But that the world through Him might be saved.” John 10:10 " The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life more abundantly." From:- Anton Meyer John 10:10 Missionaries SHALOM
