Going to war in Iraq was based on a on a deliberate lie to the American people and resulted in the deaths of 4500+ American service men and women and thousands wounded and disabled. Let’s not forget Richard Nixon’s treasonous behavior in 1968 during the Vietnam peace talks. The Vietnam war was prolonged an additional 5 years and resulted in an estimated 15,000 additional deaths of American service men because Nixon, who was running for election, convinced the Saigon President not to attend the Paris peace talks because he could get him a better deal. Richard Nixon was elected but failed to make good on his promises. Journalist Robert Perry claims he has evidence of Nixon’s interference in his book entitled “America’s Stolen Narrative”. Nixon was forced to resign and was pardoned for any all crimes by President Ford. This is why President Obama promised he would never place our service men and women in harm’s way unless it was absolutely necessary.
