WHY WORRY? Worry is an advanced interest paid on troubles that never came. Worry is a key in the hand of fear, which the devil uses to lock up destinies of men. It results from misplacement of values. It does not empty tomorrow of its problems, it only drains you of your energy today. Nobody makes progress with worry. Let us now differentiate between concern and worry. Those who are concerned seek and see solutions while those who worry see problems. Worry takes you on a journey without arriving at a definite destination. Concern makes you to look at other alternatives. Why worry? Because the dividends of worry are as follows: *It tears your mind *It batters your faith *It embitters you against God *It hurts your feelings *It reduces your health *It magnifies your problem and reduces your faith in God *It makes you look older than your age *It does not empty tomorrow of his sorrow but only empties today of its strength. Why worry? when you know that it is a killer of joy, killer of dreams and killer of faith. Worry is hazardous to your health, as it is the mother of high blood pressure which often leads to stroke if not properly managed and many times sudden death. Why worry if you can avoid it. I agree that many situations in this country can make you to worry and frustrated. However, do not worry about the food, the drink you need in order to stay alive, or worry about the clothes for your body. After all, life is worth more than food and the body is worth more than clothes. Look at the birds they do not sow seeds, gather harvest and yet God takes care of them properly. Are you not worth more than the birds? Think of it this way, since you have started to worry, has the problem been solved? Has the situation changed? Has it added to or removed from you? If your answer is NO, then why worry? Finally, I urge you to remember that God is not moved by your tears, He is only moved by your faith. Therefore, I ask again, why worry? Regards,
