WILDERNESS TEST INTRODUCTION: Permit us to use the scientific approach to EXPERIMENT/TEST to convey these spiritual realities, without seeing it as a canal approach. May He refresh and impact us tru these, as He does with His parables, which are though physical illustrations. AIM: WILDERNESS TEST is to inculcate in a believer the necessary promised land-bound ATTRIBUTES and to certify his/her ELIGIBILITY or otherwise, to possess a promised land, flowing with milk & horney but which is still ahead. Deut 8:2-3; 6:10-25. OBJECTIVES: -To find out the authenticity of a believers conversion/conviction -a convinced Israelite, or a pliable, or worst still, a member of the mixed multitude congregation; the tares among the wheat? Deut 8:2 -To find out where the heart of a believer lies; bread(physical matters) alone or living by every Word that proceeds out of the mouth of God! Deut 8:3 -To find out if past miraculous deeds and interventions means something/nothing all together to him/her. -To enable a believer realise the SUFFICIENCY of the JEHOVAH GOD (if He can in the wilderness that at least you are not consumed, then much more will He do in Cannan)Deut 2:7; Nehe 9:21.
