WILL BRIGHTEN YOUR LIFE**** A volunteer writes:It may be the season for dressing up city streets with glitzy decorations but our girl Tinsel had no business being tied to a pole and abandoned in this freezing weather. Fortunately she was taken in for the night by a good samaritan who tells us though she can be quite vocal at first, Tinsels a friendly and sweet dog once she knows you and after our date together Id have to agree, this stunning beauty wants only to be safe and loved. Shes nervous and a bit fearful but I still find her waiting at the front of her den, ready and eager to go for a walk. Once outside Tinsels strong yet responsive on leash, very attentive to my voice and even more attentive to the possibility of being rewarded with a tasty snack! She slows down when I ask her to and seems to be house trained, taking care of all her business while happily snuffling her way along the street. Back in the yard treats are taken gently from my hand but toys hold no interest and though Im allowed to pet and towel her off without issues, she isnt immediately comfortable with snuggles either and shows her happiest self only when another dog enters the pen next door. As soon as Tinsel sees her new friend theres bowing and tail wags galore and as she joyfully barks through the fence, I dont need a translator to understand pleasepleaseplease come play with me! This beautiful damsel in distress needs a dog-savvy forever home where understanding, patience and love are always in plentiful supply.
