WILL THE REAL AMERICA PLEASE STAND UP!!! Some of you refuse to admit that Mr Brown could have been fighting to protect himself from being shot when he seen the officer reaching for his weapon. Anyone thats faced with a life of death situation is liable to respond in ways that will only make their attacker even angrier. Women that have been victims of physical abuse often grab the hands of the person abusing them, even though the consequence will be even more abuse. Children that are hit with belts will react in a similar way and grab the belt, even though they know it will NOT prevent the beating but will in fact make it more intense. Michael Brown knew that he was going to be murdered if he didnt do something. The distance from the car, the amount of blood on the car and the officer are subjective. What isnt subjective is that Michael Brown, a young black man in America, where black men are murdered by bad police, thought that he needed to fight for his life. We are not living in the days of slavery where a nigger better take his beating and thank his master for Teaching him a lesson. We are free men and women living in a democracy. A democracy that has a constitution in place as its foundation. Police are not All Powerful or Above the law. They have protocols in place to deal with combative citizens of the United States. Protocols and LAWS that are in place to protect even the most uncooperative American Citizen from being murdered during situations that are unavoidable in a democracy. We are not ISIL. We are not NORTH KOREA. We are AMERICA and Americans have learned to embrace our freedoms, even to the point of needing to be reminded of what freedoms we do and dont actually have. Never should one of those reminders be death, because a child walked in the street as opposed to the sidewalk. How does a trained officer of the law allow himself to be involved in a confrontation that ended this way? Why didnt he deescalate the situation as he was trained to do? If he was never trained to deescalate situations why wasnt he and who will be held responsible for his lack of training and that life that his ignorance took? Why the need for deescalation? Because you are policing free men and women, Americans, and to do anything that makes them question their freedom could cause an escalation of an otherwise easily manageable situation. Michael Brown was not a thug. He was not black. He was not a large intimidating man. He was an American with the right to live free. An American with the right to be protected, even if from himself, without that meaning the end of his life. Nothing that he did warranted that response. The only way you can justify his murder is if you first dehumanize him. You have to make him a thug as opposed to a child that was becoming a man and learning to be a good one through trial and error. To dehumanize him you have to see his Blackness before you acknowledge that he was a spiritual being before he was placed into what you label by color. To dehumanize him you have to discuss his appearance as if he was some type of animal that had to be put down for anyone to ever be safe again. I am ashamed of any American that wants to defend the mindset that murdered Michael Brown. You are wrong and in your heart, you feel how wrong you really are, despite what you say to others. #WillTheRealAmericaStandUp
