WINTRY CONDITIONS NOT YET OVER Evening all! We after some beefy showers and snow flurries to near sea level this morning, the day quickly cleared up to a very cold and mostly dry afternoon. Although, as I write, heavy showers are peppering the eastern half of Banks Peninsula with snow falling to 300m currently. As the night wears on these showers will slowly hook in and by 6am Christchurch will be seeing some showers also. Tomorrow: Coastal showers will be affect Christchurch, these will possibly be sleety at first, and maybe event snowy to start with, before the day warms up a tad. Showers will clear early afternoon to a mostly clear but cool day! Expect highs of 9deg with fresh SW winds. Saturday: The day looks good overall!Early morning frosts are possible, but they should remain light. Southwest winds will die out throughout the afternoon leaving behind a calm afternoon. Expect highs of 12deg. Sunday is also looking good! NE winds will develop during the morning. A fine afternoon will be on the cards with highs of 12deg with patchy mid level cloud at times. That is a wrap for now! Wrap up warm tonight! Have a good one, Leighton will be back in the morning, hopefully to report on a few snow showers! -Josh
