WITH MALICE TOWARDS ALL: We, d Tirapians, both d Noctes n d Tutsas - TopicsExpress

WITH MALICE TOWARDS ALL: We, d Tirapians, both d Noctes n d Tutsas need to shake off our smallness n come out of d cocoon of our narrowness n look at d big world outside which is full of avenues, opportunities n possibilities. I dare say that I am d living witness. During d Chalo Loku celebrations at Khonsa, d Tutsas dont participate so also during Pong-tuh, d Noctes are always conspicuous by their absence. Festivals foster love, peace, happiness n unity. But sadly, its just d opposite at Khonsa. Its sad. This year d Chalo Loku was trivialized by a few public leaders n educated Noctes by adding politics n communal colours. I was shocked by d unexpected behaviour of some highly respectable Nocte leaders. Their attitude towards d Chalo Loku was different when they were in power. But sadly, all that changed after they are out of power. Such an act of smallness only belittles n demeans their social standing in d eyes of d public. All their good deeds n contributions have been trampled to dust n forgotten by d people because of their ugly action during this years Chalo Loku. In d recent past, Chalo Loku at Khonsa, Nogna n Kheti villagers enthalled d festival revellers. But this year d story was different. Please play your sweet politics but not on a joyous occasion like d Chalo Loku. Having said that we are least bothered by d uncalled for behaviour of some few narrow Noctes. Our Chalo Loku will always be celebrated with grandeur, razzmatazz n pomp n show with d same official nomenclature, come 25th November every year irrespective of whether d perpetual cynics participate or not. Mind you, there is no Nocte festival called COMMON LOKU... The Adis have many ethnic entities, but they all proudly celebrate Solung n Aran festivals. Hope d narrow-minded Noctes wake up from their slough of despondency. I thank d few broad-minded Kheti n Thisa youth who participated happily.... Very sad I am. Whats your take?
