In the Gospel, Jesus is on a mountain healing the sick, wiping away their tears. Later at His Last Supper in Jerusalem, He transformed bread & wine into His Flesh & Blood... The Holy Mass is the peak (mountain) of Christian worship, the continuous fulfillment of Gods promise in the 1st Reading. Jesus comes down from heaven, transforming bread & wine into His Flesh & Blood to give us a feast of His Divine Life. After the Mass, He sends us to love our neighbor, that they too may experience His Advent (coming) into their lives.
